Energy Efficiency

We aim to find solutions for energy efficiency in our brewing process and at the touchpoints our consumers encounter.

Facts:

  • In order to reduce our environmental impact, we invested more than 61 million TL within the scope of our energy efficiency, transition to renewable energy, sustainable packaging and water reduction projects during the year.

  • We targeted an annual emission reduction of 8,815 tons of CO2 eq with the 11 ongoing projects we completed during the year with an emission reduction effect, and an annual water saving of 129,100 m3 with 8 projects with an energy savings of 6.18 kWh/hl per production and a water consumption reduction effect.

  • We started working to realize our investment in solar energy systems installation in our Konya factory. We aim to save 18,500 MWh of electricity annually by installing 12.5 MW solar panels in our factory. With this project, financed by the build-operate-transfer model, we aim to start using renewable energy in our factories at the end of 2023, thus reducing annual emissions of 6,500 tons of CO2 eq.

  • We consumed 1,557,411 mWh of total energy in 2022. While 74% of this consumption is caused by fuel use for heating in our factories and company buildings; 21% was due to electricity consumption. The remaining 5% of energy consumption was caused by biogas, vehicle fuels and generator consumption.

  • 29% of our electricity consumption was the electricity we purchased from renewable sources.

Renewable and Alternative Energy Solutions
